शाब्दिक रूप से ‘कांच का महल’ अर्थात् दीवारों पर छोटे दर्पण की सजावट है अर्थात् यह शाही छोटे जड़ाऊ दर्पणों से सुसज्जित राजसी वस्त्र बदलने का कमरा था ।
